BIDS for 2027 IODA Championships and 2026 North Americans

We received several excellent bids this year!   

Thank you to our members for their interest in hosting an IODA Championship and for taking the time to prepare and submit a Bid. 

We have received three Bids for the 2027 World Championship:

• Mellieha, MALTA
• Encarnacion, PARAGUAY
• Lanzarote, SPAIN

We have received five Bids to host the 2027 European Championship:

• Portland, GREAT BRITAIN
• Csopak, HUNGARY
• Crotone, ITALY
• Melliha, MALTA
• Lanzarote, SPAIN

We have received one Bid for the 2027 European Team Racing Championship:

• Cork, IRELAND

We have received one Bid for the 2027 South American Championship:

• Higuerillas, CHILE

We have received NO Bid to host the 2027 Asian & Oceanian Championship:

We have received NO Bid to host the 2027 African Championship. 

We have received a Bid to host the 2026 North American Championship.

The BIDS will be presented at the 2025 Optimist World Championship in Slovenia on the evenings of June 30 and July 1, prior to the IODA AGM held on July 3.
