Welcome Moldova to the IODA Family!

Dear IODA Members,

We are pleased to announce that the Moldovian Yachting Federation has officially joined the IODA family after completing its application.

Last year, through the ROPE program, Moldova received a donation of fully rigged Optimists, providing young sailors with the opportunity to start training and competing. A second shipment is planned for the coming months, further supporting the development of Optimist sailing in the country. This initiative may have been the boost they needed to take the step and become part of the IODA community.

Carmen Casco, IODA Vice President for Europe, shared her excitement about Moldova's membership:
"We are happy to welcome Moldova as the newest member of IODA Europe! We look forward to seeing their young sailors on the water and strengthening the Optimist sailing community together."
