MAY 3rd Bid Deadline to host a 2027 IODA Championship

 Hosting an IODA Championship is a great way to engage, energize and develop Optimist sailors in your country and region.

If you are interested in hosting a 2027 World and /or Continental Championship, the deadline to submit a bid is MAY 3, 2025.

We recommend that you review the Championship Conditions that outline how the events are organized. They can be found in the 2025 IODA Handbook HERE.

We also recommend that you visit past IODA Championship Microsites that can be found in the Event Section of the IODA website. They provide a great way to view how the events are organised for the sailors.

To submit a bid, you are required to use the official Bid Form that can be downloaded HERE.

The bids are voted on at the 2025 AGM taking place on July 3, 2025, in Portoroz, SLOVENIA during the World Championship. All members vote on the World Championship bids. Only members from each continent vote on their Continental Championship bids.
