The Notice of Race for the 2024 Optimist South American Championship, set to take place in the picturesque Encarnación, Paraguay, from 31 August to 7 September, is now available on the official Event Microsite.

We strongly advise all participants to carefully review the Notice of Race as it contains vital details about the event.

Paraguay warmly welcomes you back for the second time to this continental championship, following the successful hosting in 2017. Get ready to enjoy the excellent sailing conditions and the hospitality of our Paraguayan hosts once again in 2024.

Under the leadership of Event Chairman Francisco Leri, the Organizing Committee is diligently working to ensure a seamless experience for all IODA Member Teams. Francisco Leri shares, "On behalf of the Paraguayan people, I welcome you all to the 2024 South American Optimist Championship.   We are eager to receive you, to show you our country, our culture and our hospitality.  We will have a wonderful week of pure Optimist! Registration opens on Wednesday 13 March

IODA Members should utilize their 2023 User Login Credentials and Password for access to the Online Registration System.

The deadline for the First Entry Stage is 5 April 2024
