A beautiful day in Ledro today for the final day of the Championship.  After the clouds lifted, a nice breeze filled in permitting the days racing to commence without any delay.

Friday, August 21 

Delta Flag raised at 11:30 and all teams on the water to begin another day of racing in spectacular Lago di Ledro.  Yesterday was a very long day with 87 races completed in order to make up for the light wind day on Wednesday.  Today the plan is to complete 56 races.

This forecast today promises for good conditions for the second day of the Team Race event.  Racing will commence with Flight 9 - Turkey vs Italy. 

Report on First Day in Lago di Ledro 

Today was unusually  chilly with persistent drizzle  for the first day of the Team Race Championship in Lago di Ledro.  The cloud depression did not lift, ensuring that 6 knots was the maximum wind condition for the day.  After a morning delay on land, waiting for conditions to imporove, all sailors were finally on the water by 1400.
