Completion of Optimus Program Clinic in Slovenia

Portorož, Slovenia, October 2024 — The Optimus Coach Development Program has successfully completed another important clinic, held at Jadralni klub Pirat in Portorož, Slovenia. Seven participants gathered to improve their coaching skills under the guidance of Maurizio Bencic, an experienced coach with a strong background in sailing.

Throughout the three-day clinic, participants focused on key areas of coaching, including safety procedures, effective teaching methods, technical sailing skills, and race preparation. The program is designed to foster the development of a global coaching community that adheres to consistent, high-quality training standards.

This clinic is part of the ongoing efforts of the Optimus Program to raise the bar in sailing coaching worldwide, helping develop a highly skilled and internationally recognized workforce of coaches.

Countries interested in organizing a clinic are encouraged to contact Antonio Gonzalez de la Madrid at sec_gen@optiworld.org for more information.
