2026 Optimist European Team Racing Championship

This prestigious event will bring together the 16 national teams that qualified through their performances at the 2025 Optimist European Championship. The official ranking list of the qualified teams can be found on the event microsite here: https://2026europeanteamracing.optiworld.org/en/default/races/race

Set against the spectacular backdrop of Lake Garda, Campione del Garda is one of Europe's most celebrated sailing venues. Surrounded by dramatic mountains and renowned for its consistent thermal winds, crystal-clear waters, and world-class racing conditions, it provides the perfect stage for elite Optimist team racing.

Hosted by Univela Sailing, the championship promises not only outstanding competition on the water but also the warm hospitality and professional event organization for which the venue is known throughout the international sailing community.

Registration is open and the entry deadline is August 7, 2026.

Don’t lose your spot! If we don’t hear from you by that deadline, the next team on the ranked list will automatically be invited to attend.

We look forward to welcoming the qualified teams, coaches, and supporters for a memorable week of teamwork, sportsmanship, and high-level racing in one of the world's most beautiful sailing destinations.

See you on Lake Garda in October 2026!
