Gian Marco Piovanetti, a talented 15-year-old Optimist sailor from Puerto Rico, showcased his exceptional skills and emerged as the champion of the 2023 RenaissanceRe Junior Gold Cup. With an impressive performance Piovanetti secured a remarkable victory, finishing 20 points ahead of his closest competitor, Mariana Pinto of Portugal, who claimed the title of Top Female Sailor. Frederick Hastrup of Denmark secured a commendable third place in this highly competitive event.

The award for the top sailor representing Bermuda went to Nina Gotfredsen, who showcased her sailing talent by finishing ninth overall.
