2023 IODA Championship Bids Received

The bid deadline to host a 2023 IODA Championship closed on May 1st.

We have received a number of excellent bids to host the 2023 IODA World and Continental Championships - a milestone year in which the Optimist Dinghy will be celebrating its 50^th Anniversary of becoming an International Class.

We would like to thank our Members who have submitted a bid to host one of our Championships. We appreciate your support and interest in hosting an IODA Event.

The bids will be voted on and selected by the Members during the 2021 IODA AGM on July 7, 2021. 

The Bids will be presented in a series of Webinars from June 9th to 12th. The schedule is as follows:

1. Wednesday June 9th - 2023 Asian & Oceanian Champaionship Bids followed by the 2022 Championship in Korea
2. Thursday, June 10th - 2023 South American Championship Bid followed by the 2022 Championsihp in Brazil
3. Friday, June 11th - 2023 European Championship Bids followed by the 2022 Championship in Denmark. 
4. Saturday, June 12th - 2023 World Championship Bids followed by the 2022 Championship in Turkey. 

All webinars will be available for viewing after the live presentations. 

The actual times of the presentations will be circulated to the Members and the Official Country representatives prior to the dates shortly.
