Sail Digital Update and 2026 Class Rules

Sail Digital Program

The Sail Digital Program is currently in a testing phase. Access credentials have been provided to builders, sailmakers, and foils and spars manufacturers, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the system ahead of full implementation. The next phase will include measurers and National Member Associations, as the program moves progressively towards operational use.

The program is designed to support a more efficient, transparent and environmentally responsible approach to class administration. By reducing paper use and streamlining processes, the system aims to lower administrative workload while remaining accessible to stakeholders worldwide.

IODA would like to thank all builders, sailmakers, and equipment manufacturers for their essential cooperation and constructive feedback, which are key to the successful development and future implementation of the program.

Class Rules Approved for 2026

IODA is pleased to confirm that the Class Rules for 2026 have now been approved. These rules include important updates linked to the introduction of the new Digital Certification System, with changes affecting equipment certification, measurement procedures and related administrative processes.

These developments ensure that the Class Rules remain aligned with the Sail Digital Program and with current class practices, while maintaining clarity, consistency and fairness. The approved 2026 Class Rules are available for download at the link below.
