Several Excellent Bids received to host 2026 IODA Championships

We received several excellent bids this year and we thank our members for their interest in hosting an IODA Championship and for taking the time to prepare and submit their bids. 

We have received an excellent Bid for the 2026 World Championship:

• Tangier, Morocco

We received two bids to host the 2025 European Championship from:

• Lake Balaton, Hungary
• Gdynia, Poland

We received a Bid to host the 2026 Asian & Oceanian Championship:

• Colombo, Sri Lanka

We have received one bid for the European Team Racing Championship from:

• Italy

The South American Championship is rotated each year by agreement of the members in South America. The 2026 South American Championship is to be hosted by Montevideo, Uruguay. 

We have received a Bid to host the 2026 African Championship from LIBYA. 

We have received a Bid to host the 2025 North American Championship.

• Kingston, Canada

We have not received a Bid for the 2026 North American Championship.

The bidders will be presenting their bids to the Official Representatives prior to the AGM on December 12 on the evenings of December 9 and 10th, as per a schedule that will be posted in advance.
