Weka Bhanubandh (THA), Virtual Champion of the Euromarina Optimist Trophy Torrevieja

Bhanubandh has a lead of 52 points over the Catalan Dani Garcia and 56 points over the Andalusian Roberto Aguilar

With only one day and three races to go, Weka Bhanubandh(THA) has a very important advantage over the second in the table, with 52 points difference. The second place is occupied by the Greek Fragkiski Kosma (PFCN), with 72 points, 48 points behind the Thai. Kosma, in addition, snatches the first place to the Spanish Blanca Ferrando (RCN Valencia), for whom today has not been his best day, marking a few numbers little or nothing favorable to their interests.  Provisional bronze goes to another Greek representative: Eleni Alchanati (PFCN) 38 points behind the Valencian.

In the first round she was 49th, she improved in the second round with a 6, but the last round of the day came with a 63 that was going to weigh heavily on her. The difference in the women's category, between the Greek and the Valencian is 58 points, with still three races to complete.

Dani Garcia (CN Masnou) with a 17-10-46 is placed second in the men's category and only remains to defend his silver metal as the Andalusian Roberto Aguilar (CNM Benalmádena) is only two points behind Garcia.

No changes in the U13 with Lily-Sofie Latvala and José Manuel Cuellar leaders

As for the SUB13, little or no change in the general provisional. The Finnish Lily-Sofie Latvala (HSS) occupies the first place, followed by the Valencian Marta Ferrando (RCN Valencia) and Mar Infante (RCMT Punta Umbria), while in the men's category the podium is closed in the absence of a day and three races with Jose Manuel Cuellar (RCN Adra), followed by Ignacio Sanchez (RCR Alicante) and the Dutch Maurits Mellens.

Weka Bhanubandh has taken a giant step today to win the 14th Euromarina Optimist Trophy Torrevieja, in a day marked by little wind and also very long, as was the case yesterday. Bhanubandh, with partials of 8-4-11 adds 24 points after the discard applied. These numbers leave the Royal Varuna YC representative as virtual champion of this edition in the waters of Torrevieja.

Tomorrow fourth and last day, keeping the scheduled time of 10.00 am the start of the first race of the day. Around 17.30 hours, unless there are changes, the trophy ceremony is scheduled at the RCN of Torrevieja.
