IODA Launches APP for Europeans & Worlds

Following from the success of the launch of the IODA APP for the 2019 SAMS, IODA is now launching the APP for the 2019 Europeans taking place June 22-29^th in Crozon-Morgat, FRA and 2019 World Championship, July 6-16^th in Antigua.

The IODA APP is available at the Apple Store or the Google Play Store. You can download the APP for free!

The new IODA APP allows you to follow your favourite sailor or team from your smart phone. You can follow the racing live with 2D tracking, as well as follow the live blog.  You can also get a glimpse of all the action through the photos and videos and find out the race results each day   Matias Capizzano will be the official photographer at both events this year, so there will be lots of great pictures for you to share on Facebook and Instagram.

There are 5 main sections in the APP for you to review and follow:

• Live Race – 2 D Tracking & Live Blog
• Notice Board

The European Championshp is the largest IODA Event this year in terms of number of sailors, at almost 300 and the World Championship is the largest in terms of number of countries at 65.  

The IODA APP will be beneficial to the numerous families and friends of sailors from all over the globe who want to keep informed on what is happening at these two IODA Championships. The sailors will also have the benefit of receiving notifications on protests, results, and any notices or announcements on the Official Notice Board on their smart phone.

The IODA APP is part of our green strategy in our effort to reduce paper at our events and to use technology to better communicate to our members, sailors and stakeholders as well as promote the Optimist Class worldwide. 

To watch the live tracking you will need to download the Trac Trac APP for free from the Apple Store or the Google Play Store.  

Don't forget  that you can also follow the racing from your desktop computer for a more comprehensive coverage of the event.
