IODA Cancels the 2020 South American Championships

IODA has been informed by the Organizing Committee of the 2020 Optimist South American Championship that they have made the decision to withdraw as the host of the Championship this year.

We would like to thank our Member, the Asociación Optimist Argentina, the Club Nautico Mar del Plata, and the chairman of the Organizing Committee, Matias Capizzano and the many members of the Organizing Committee for all their hard work and support in the planning of the 2020 South American Championship. We respect their decision. 

Following the recent decision at the 2020 IODA AGM, we look forward to going to Mar del Plata November 6-13^th for the 2021 Optimist South American Championship.

As a result of the withdrawal of the hosts, the IODA Executive Committee has cancelled the 2020 Optimist South American Championship.
