The
Optimist Class does not have licensed builders. But all builders of GRP
boats must have a prototype approved from each mould they use for
production and undergo regular inspections thereafter.
The following builders have complied with this requirement and have bought ISAF plaques within the last two years.
Note that all GRP Optimists built since 1 March 1996 have mould numbers moulded into:
They also have the year of manufacture and the ISAF/IYRU building fee plaque number engraved on the forward transom, and the building fee plaque itself glued to the starboard side of the mast thwart bulkhead.
