Sail the Gulf

The Qatar Sailing & Rowing Federation have once again organised a highly successful Sail the Gulf regatta. On the first day there was an Optimist Team Racing event with 6 teams from Czech Republic, India, Norway and Qatar. This was won by India, with Norway second and Czech Republic third.

The fleet racing that followed was sailed in a variety of conditions, both light and strong winds and proved to be an excellent sailing week. Vishnu Saravanan from India sailed consistently well all week and finished 20 points ahead of his nearest rival, Torstein Erlendsoenn Tenstad (Norway), closely followed by Mahesh Balachander (India).
