The SEEOOC celebrated its sixth birthday last week.

The sixth edition of the SEEOOC (South East European Open Optimist Cup) finished last Sunday 6th of May after three days on which 68 Opti sailors from 8 countries enjoyed sailing on Lake Palik, right in the middle of a beautiful park. Sailors came from Albania, Armenia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Slovenia, Slovakia and of course Serbia.

After 10 races with two discards, the winners of SEEOOC 2012 were:

  • 1- David Bezdek, Czech Republic
  • 2- Szabolcs Wolf, Hungary
  • 3- Csenge Veenstra, Hungary

David and Szabolcs finished tied in points, with five bullets each, and the tie was broken by David's 1st place on the last race. Congratulations to both!!

Csenge Veenstra was also the best girl, while the best boy junior (up to 12 years) was Gergely Olah also from Hungary, and best junior girl Lucie Keblova, Czech Republic.

Fair sailing was provided by International Jury with Miroslav Bjelajac (IJ CRO) as a Chairman, and Race Officer was Pierluigi de Luise (IRO ITA).
