256 sailors from 7 countries attended the Polish Nationals, which were held in Kamien-Pomorski.

256 sailors from 7 countries attended the Polish Nationals, which were held in Kamien-Pomorski.

During the weekend of the 16th and 18th of September 2011, 256 sailors from 7 nations gathered in Kamien-Pomorski, venue of last year's IODA European Championship, to sail the Crewsaver Open Polish Optimist Championship. The wind conditions were fairly good ranging from 13 knots on the first day to 9 on the last, allowing for 8 races to be completed with 1 discard.

Frisch Marvin of Wuerttembergischer Yacht Club from Germany took gold with just a 4 point lead over the second placed German Igmar Vieregge of Düsseldorfer Yacht Club. Third place went to Erik Nevhagen of Rorviks Segelsällskap, from Sweden. Also from Sweden was Dubois Andrea of LESS ,who took gold among the girls and finished 6th overall.
