NOTICE TO MEMBERS, BUILDERS & MEASURERS - Toe Straps

The Technical Committee has been made aware of an Optimist with the toe straps attached at the stern using the port and starboard attachment points for the aft buoyancy bag.

In their view this contravenes CR 3.2.7.3 particularly when read in conjunction with the Hull Plan sheet 10 and this is not allowed.

As CR 3.2.7.3 can be misinterpreted without reference to Hull Plan Sheet 10, the Technical Committee will propose to bring a clarifying amendment forward at the 2018 AGM.
