Notice to Members - 2018 Optimist Class Rules Available

The 2018 Optimist Class Rules have been updated with the class rules changes that were approved and adopted at the 2017 AGM.  All of the changes have subsequently been approved by World Sailing.  

They are now available on the IODA Website.   To find them, go to the Technical Section under Class Rules or Documents. 

The new Class Rules will come into effect on January 1, 2018. 

Please note, as per IODA Article 16, fully paid up Members as well as the Executive Committee can make proposals for Class Rule Changes to be voted on at the 2018 AGM. The deadline for submitting Class Rule proposals is on or before February 15, 2018.
