IODA Announces Measurement Seminar prior to 2018 SAMS

The IODA Techncal Committee is organizing measurement seminars at different continental championships events during 2018 to expand the technical support of the class. 

The first seminar will be held from March 22nd to March 25th prior to the upcoming 2018 South American Championship in Montevideo, Uruguay, hosted by the Yacht Club Uruguayo. 

Our objective is to have as many trained measurers in as many countries as possible to provide support in each members' country as well as at future IODA events. 

The measurement seminar is supported by IODA and is free of charge for all participants. Transportation, accommodation and meals is the responsibility of the attendee. 

The seminar will be focused on "event measurement"  including some formal aspects, measurement procedures, sail certification and so on, divided into theoretical and practical parts.

There will be another Measurement Seminar prior to the North American Championship taking place in Puerto Vallarta, MEX in June.  Check the IODA website over the coming months for information regarding this seminar.
