MOZ wins African Team Racing Championship

A cold front produced light wins today that delayed racing for the Optimist Team Racing African Championship hosted by the Clube Maritimo de Desportos in Maputo Bay in Mozambique.

12 teams from 8 nations competed in a shortened grid in the Team Racing African Championship in order to get it completed in one day.  

Home team MOZ 1 won the championship title followed by Angola (ANG 2) in second, and South Africa (RSA 1) in third.

Fleet racing continues tomorrow for two more days to conclude the championship and crown the 2018 Barclays Optimist African Champion.
