A REMINDER TO MEMBERS - Personal Flotation Devices

Please note the following from the IODA Technical Committee:

Class Rule 4.2 (a) states:  The helmsman shall wear a personal flotation device to the minimum standard ISO 12402-5 (Level 50) or equivalent.   All fastening devices supplied by the manufacture shall be used in the manner intended.  A whistle shall be carried securely attached to the personal flotation device.

As this is a Class Rule, all personal flotation devices at IODA Events will be subject to random checks and if deemed non-complaint, penalties will be applied.
