An increasing number of Optimists are being built in China.

The Chinese Yachting Association takes seriously its supervision of measurement of these Optimists and has agreed with IODA a special stamp to guarantee that each hull has been approved by one of its specially appointed measurers.

All Optimists made in China should therefore have the stamp shown at left affixed to the Registration Book.

Please note also that the address shown on the Registration Book should be an address in China.

NOTE THAT THE BOATS MARKETED UNDER THE NAMES "WHITE DRAGON" AND "OPTIONE" (ZIM 1001) ARE NOT OPTIMISTS AND IT IS ILLEGAL TO DESCRIBE THEM AS SUCH.
