The Sailing Club of Bodrum, with its premises in İcmeler Mevkii, was established in 2002. Since then it has organised, with the support of the Municipality, many national and international events, a few of which are listed here:

2004 - LASER STANDARD WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
2009 - RS:X YOUTH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
2009 - NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP (OPTIMIST & LASER)
2010 - NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP (OPTIMIST & LASER)
2011 - NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP (420 – 470 – RS:X – TECHNO 293)
2012 - NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP (420 – 470 – RS:X – TECHNO 293)

With the endorsement of the city government, together with the cooperation of other local and national institutions, we have decided to organised the Bodrum International Optimist Regatta. The regetta is already registered and taking place in the 2013 calendar of Turkish Sailing Federation.

Bodrum is one of the most beautiful places in Turkey and has perfect sailing conditions: wind, sun and clear blue waters! It is a sailor's dream. We are offering a number of free of charge charter boats for sailors from abroad.

We are confident BIOR will be an unforgettable regatta, not only because of the sailing and racing but also because of the social events organised on land. Don't miss it!
