European Opti Team Cup

POLAND are the winners of the 2007 team-racing event hosted by the Potsdamer Yacht Club on the Wannsee in Berlin.

In a tightly contested competition they beat Norway on tie-break, with Worlds silver medallists Singapore in third place.

Polish Open

One of the last major regattas of the European summer saw 192 participants from nine countries. The ongoing competition between the two talented Polish girls Ewa Ilska and Sara Piacesecka, both medallists at the 2006 Europeans, was resolved this time in favour of Sara, with German sailor Jens Marten dividing them.

International Meeting in Vigo

That the European season is far from over was shown by a great turnout at the regatta at the RCN Vigo, Spain, part of the Atlantic Sailing Week sponsored by the Caixanova.

280 sailors from twelve countries participated, including the Singapore national team and sailors from as far away as Brasil and Puerto Rico.
On the final day of the four-day event Florian Trittel from Barcelona managed to win by a margin of four points over a star-studded international fleet.
